Dear Property Manager
I am a Housing Management Specialist for Hill Air Force Base, Utah and am involved in data collection efforts to establish Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) rates for active-duty service members and their families. BAH is a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) program that provides uniformed service members equitable housing compensation based on the local rental market. You may learn more about BAH here: https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/bah.cfm.
As a real estate professional familiar with the dynamics of the housing market in this area, you are an invaluable source of information. As such, you may receive a call from a federal contractor, Robert D. Niehaus, Inc., or RDN (www.rdniehaus.com), with questions about the rental market and/or the properties you manage.
These are not sales or marketing calls; RDN works on behalf of the DOD to verify rental listing information for completeness and accuracy. When calling, RDN will identify themselves as working in concert with our installation or military housing office and, if asked, will tell you they are verifying data for the BAH program.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance in helping us by answering a few questions when RDN calls. It will only take a few minutes and will help ensure our service members and their families can afford suitable and appropriate housing in the local area.
Thank you for your time, expertise, and assistance!
Kind Regards
